BTSD To Hold Bond Referendum Info Sessions
The Boonton Township School District will host two more informational events ahead of the March 12 bond referendum to improve Rockaway Valley School.
Residents can tour the school on Feb. 22, from 7 to 7:30 p.m., to see the building areas that would be improved through a referendum. District representatives will lead the tour and answer questions. Register for the tour by using this form.
A virtual forum on Feb 28, from 6:30-8 p.m., offers another opportunity to learn about the referendum. Attendees will hear from the project architect, financial advisers and teachers who will discuss how proposed improvements would benefit students. Community members also are encouraged to visit the district’s bond referendum website, www.btrvs.org/referendum, for comprehensive information on the projects, funding strategy and voting, along with FAQs.

Once redirected, ensure you are on the page for Boonton Township New Jersey and follow the step-by-step instructions on the web page to create an account and receive emergency alerts for Boonton Township.
"Alert Boonton Township" also automatically signs you up for Smart911 which provides you and your family with a potentially life-saving resource. Smart911 is a free emergency 911 component which helps our emergency dispatchers better assist you during an emergency. This service also allows residents to create a safety profile which can include any information they would like to share with first responders during an emergency.

is seeking interested individuals to join our Recycling Team
as Recycling Depot Attendants
on Saturday mornings from 9 AM to 12 Noon
Individuals must be age 16 or older to apply.
$50/per session

will be closed from Powerville Road to Tourne Road
from 8:30 AM to 4 PM (Monday-Friday)

Public Health Nurse Office Hours
Our Public Health Nurse has weekly office hours from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM - please call to confirm the day. If you would like to confer with our nurse, Margie Corbett, RN, BS

The Public Health Nurse serves as a vital resource to our community for health-related referrals such as COVID tests and vaccines or weight loss management.
Blood pressure screenings are done during office hours - no appointment is necessary.
Good idea to call beforehand to verify hours for the week. Stop by during office hours for more information.

The Rockaway Valley Garden Club generally meets the 2nd Tuesday of each Month.

Attention All MLHS High School Juniors and Parents
The Boonton Township Police Department in partnership with the Mountain Lakes Police Department will be hosting a driver safety seminar for all new drivers on the evening of Thursday March 7th at 6:30pm in the Mountain Lakes High School auditorium. It is mandatory that all 11th grade students and at least one parent attend this program if the student wants to obtain a parking pass at the MLHS parking lot for their senior year.
