Each week we will include a fun fact or historic tidbit about our great hometown
At its meeting of April 15, 1920 the Township Committee
received a letter from Mr. Herbert Hapgood of the Mountain Lakes Company
requesting the cooperation of the Township Committee in the development of the roads necessary to serve the development of his properties at Mountain Lakes.
The members of the Township Committee expressed their willingness to cooperate with Mr. Hapgood
in the beneficial development of the Mountain Lakes section of Boonton Township and appointed a member to confer with Mr. Hapgood on the subject.
