Boonton Township Trivia

Each week we will include a fun fact or historic tidbit about our great hometown

Boonton Township was incorporated by an Act to Divide the Township of Pequannock on April 11, 1867. The Act created the sister municipalities of Montville and Boonton Townships.

The borough of Mountain Lakes was formed from portions of the township on March 3, 1924.
