RVA Parking Lot Update

Construction progresses with the redesign of the RVA parking lot. This week the trees were planted and curbed islands were filled.

Next week we anticipate the river stone will be installed on the islands and the edge of the parking lot will be milled.

The parking lot remains closed to all patrons - it is a construction site and the Township's insurer requires the closure. Patrons must park at the temporary lot behind the Firehouse on Rockaway Valley Road.

The Police Department has issued summonses and will continue to do so to anyone who believes the lot closure does not apply to them.

NOTE: The parking lot will be open for:

Tri-Town National Night Out - August 1

Summer Camp (lot open to drop-off & pick-up campers only) - August 4

Township Picnic and Fireworks - August 5

The repaving is currently scheduled for the week of August 7th. At that time, the lot will be closed to all vehicles for at least two weeks and until the lot is re-striped.

The rest rooms will be closed during that time and port-a-johns will be available near the temporary parking area.
